Home: Welcome

The experience of beginning of life and end of life has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. I believe that the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more apparent. I see every journey as a life changing experience and I feel honored to be able to share my energy with the families in the greater Saint Johns area.

Meet Deepest Roots Doula:

There are no two greater things than that of the hands of an infant or the hands of the elder. Both with my personal and professional experience find no greater joy or truer passion than being present for someone's first breath and last.

I discovered my passion for the beginning of life through the premature births of my three children and their struggles to survive, thrive and breastfeed. (Born at just 31 weeks, 25 weeks/6 days and again at 25 weeks/6 days).  My idea of LIFE was forever enlightened and a seed was planted in my caring for other mothers bringing their babies into the world. I have been supporting families as they grow since 2008.

2008-2011/2018: Kelly's Daycare (Birth - 5 yrs)

2012: I became a Breast feeding peer counselor through R.U.S.H. Since then have been furthering my education through Child Birth International in becoming a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula and Child Birth Educator. I am grateful to support you through your journey in creating life.

2012: I began elder care in an assisted living environment. I embraced the journey as I began to flourish in caring for those around dementia, Alzheimer's, and end of life. It was like hearing a language for the first time, although understanding everything they  had said. I developed into a Elder Care Specialist and then into the Memory Care Coordinator. 2017: I began Deepest Roots providing elder care services in home and have developed into supporting those in a community or nursing home as a companion.  I have worked diligently along side many family members to bring their loved one the care they have envisioned.

These experiences have helped shaped me as your doula. I will support you, guide you, and help create the experience you desire as you are going through some of the most emotional and vulnerable times of your life.

"Arielle, was not only my backbone, my rock but my motivation when I was so tired and scared and ready to give up. She kept my mind sharp, and knew what I needed before I did. She lent me strength to push forwards when I wasn't sure if I could. She handled every change, bump and scare with Grace. She was my calm in the storm. I couldn't have gotten through my birth with out her by my side guiding me, teaching me reassuring me, and reminding me of who I am and the strength I possess.Through out every process of my delivery. From eagerly waiting for those contractions to get started, to pushing me through the gut wrenching pain, to suiting up and holding my hand and being my person n my advocate when I needed a emergency cesarean. She helped my through my exhaustion to breastfeed my tongue tied, son who wouldn't latch. She encouraged me to keep trying and pushing forward. She even helped once we arrived home a week later to help me give him his first bath. She was all around a God send and what helped me become the mother I am today."

"Arielle's compassion for Mom when she was a client in until the day she died was unbeatable. And not only for Mom but for me as well. I had never experienced the end of life until Mom. Her constant reassurance of mom’s condition and what I could expect made the whole experience much more acceptable. Her caring for Mom after she passed was consoling. If ever I need someone to care for another of my loved ones, I would ask for her in a heartbeat. Thanks again for all you have done for Mom and me. "

If I could rate this at a 10 I would. Arielle seriously is the most amazing person to have by your side before baby is born and while your in labor. My labor was 36 hours long and she was there with my the whole way even before I asked her to come to my home she was talking to me and making me feel like I wasn’t alone. She came to my home and helped me with anything and everything I needed or wanted. She also helped make my husband feel very active in every way she interacted with my children and included them just having her presents there was such a blessing such a positive person that it pushed me to keep going even when I felt weak she made me see the strength I had! With this being my last baby (baby 6) she made me wish this wasn’t my last because I would love to have her next to me again I could go on for days about my amazing birth and having her next to me

"I wanted to share my incredible experience I had with Arielle. I had a very special friend that lived at an assisted living community. Every day we had conversations about his well being. She was so knowledgeable about his medication, how he reacted to them and most importantly, she knew his moods. He was a mile mannered person before his dementia. As the disease progressed he became more combative. With her humor and tone, he responded by calming down. He respected her.

His wish was to be in the comfort of his home. She was the first to come to mind. As soon as we hired her, she had his care plan all written up. Together we made that happen. She had the schedule for additional help (she hired, gave detailed plans and were observed during their time) , set up med ordering/planning (the medications were so detailed), and was always available if we needed her.

I can not tell you the comfort I felt, when I seen her car in the driveway. I have so much respect for the way he was treated, with dignity and kindness. I observed that she has more knowledge about the care for this disease than numerous Individuals I've seen in this field. Arielle has a natural intuitive gift. Also it was the little things like the home  kept neat the way he liked it and food that he enjoyed. I was going away for the weekend and she said she thought it was close to the end of his life. Because of that, I stayed and was able to be with him when he passed. He was granted his wish to be home filled with love.

She was a blessing to both of us."

Diane and I first met Arielle when she was 21. Our Mom was in an assisted living community with Alzheimer's. Arielle cared for Mom for three years. Our Dad, Dale depended on Arielle to be Mom’s closest caregiver. Arielle’s compassion and devotion were unwavering.  Arielle was with Mom the day she passed.
Dad was diagnosed with Dementia a few years later. As Dad’s dementia progressed my sister and I began looking into assisted living and elder care. By then, Arielle was in charge of the memory care unit where Mom had spent the last years of her life. When Dad saw Arielle, he immediately knew her as a friend.  She quickly became an expert at finishing his thoughts, knowing his moves before he did and his partner in “crime.” She was no doubt, a part of the family.
Dad’s wish was to spend his last days in his home. Diane and I hired Arielle to gather a staff to watch over Dad with 24-hour care.
She coordinated the Hospice care and determined exactly what Dad required. Diane and I could not have done this without Arielle’s experience and drive.
On September 15th, 2017 we brought Dad home.Over the next 30 days, Arielle managed the staff, worked multiple shifts and determined Dad’s Care. Arielle thought Dad would calm down once home. She also predicted that once he calmed his decline would quicken. She was exactly right on both accounts. As Dad’s health declined, Arielle spent many hours on call, and at his bedside. She worked diligently educating her staff and family on what to expect and how to care for him. Dad died on Oct. 15th with family and friends at his bedside. Thanks to Arielle, Dad’s last days were a celebration, just as he would have wanted.
Arielle proved to be a pillar of strength and wisdom that far outweighed her years. We have great confidence in Arielle. She will become the finest doula.
